Here are a few tips you may want to know about COVID-19 vaccines currently on the market:

- Decision by availability/age criteria
- No preference/recommendation by CDC over either product
- Individuals with no history or past history of COVID-19 infection is eligible for infection
- Individuals with current COVID-19 infection is not eligible for vaccination (either 1st or 2nd dose) until after recovery
- COVID-19 high-risk individuals bear no additional risks with vaccinations
- Pregnant individuals may bear slightly additional risk with vaccinations (limited data available)
- No booster doses is developed or recommended yet
- 2 doses of the same product is highly recommended
- In occasion of inadvertent 1 dose of each, no further vaccination is recommended
- Minimum interval of 14 days before or after other non-COVID-19 vaccines, if possible
- In occasion of COVID-19 vaccination within 14-day period of any necessary non-COVID vaccination, no further COVID-19 doses is necessary
As the more supply of the vaccines are being provided, vaccinations are administrated based on the priorities as set below:
- Healthcare personnel & residents of long-term care facilities
- Frontline essential workers such as fire fighters, police officers, food & agricultural workers, USPS workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, & those who work in the educational sector AND People aged 75 years
- People aged 65—74 years AND People aged 16—64 years AND Other essential workers, such as people who work in transportation and logistics, food service, housing construction & finance, information technology, communications, energy, law, media, public safety, and public health.
