Job Summary
To contribute to our R&D and manufacturing teams by performing design, optimization and DFM strategies for various medical tools, devices and parts.
Job Description
- Designing, developing, testing and modifying and optimizing medical products, equipment and devices,
- Maintaining equipment and running experiment,
- Modeling and simulation of medical devices,
- Analyze data, prepare and present results in the forms of graphs, plots, figures,
- Perform data and statistical analysis,
- Writing test protocols, reports and documentation,
- undertaking relevant research,
- Liaising with medical, engineering and scientific staff,
- Among other relevant tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Working towards a BSc in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering degree,
- Minimum of 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA,
- Must show enthusiasm and passion for research and development,
- Strong mechanical aptitude,
- Excellent interpersonal skills,
- Strong organizational skills,
- Strong oral and written skills in English,
- Moderate physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis,
- Must be able to pass a criminal and background checks,
- Being able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week,
- Work authorization status (visa, permanent residency, citizenship), and a second form of ID.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior relevant academic projects and/or internships,
- Prior industry experience with medical devices,
- Working with CAD design software such as SolidWorks, Creo, ProEngineer,
- Working with FEM and modeling software such as Ansys and Abaqus,
- Working with MATLAB toolboxes,
- Some levels of skillset with coding and programming,
- Flexible schedule,
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
