As COVID-19 pandemic unfolds, we, at Redan Home Health management, stay put with all the upcoming updates from all entities and authorities in charge.

In particular, we monitor any upcoming updates, recommendation, advice and order by CDC, Federal Governments, State of California, and Local Health Authorities.

In accordance with the latest Executive Order N-33-20 by the State of California, dated March 19, 2020, the State Public Health Officer has designated the list of “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” to help state, local, tribal, and industry partners as they work to protect communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security.

The Healthcare &  Public Health ranks the highest in the list of sectors who need to continue providing their crucial service to vulnerable individuals, aging population, and those in need of care. Accordingly, the second bullet in the list of Essential Workers reads as:

“Health care providers and caregivers (e.g., physicians, dentists, psychologists, mid-level practitioners, nurses and assistants, infection control and quality assurance personnel, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists and assistants, social workers, speech pathologists and diagnostic and therapeutic technicians and technologists).”

As such, Redan Home Health feels compelled to continue its essential homecare and home health services to our clients, who need care the most.

We have been instructing our caregiver and staff to take all possible precaution measures, as those recommended by CDC and local health authorities.

Please remember that minimizing the health risk is a team work, necessitating commitment, cooperation and diligence by all of us. Here are few additional items for all us, here at Redan Home Health, and for you, our clients and loved ones:

  1. Hygiene Supplies: It is always helpful and recommended to have all the necessary protective and hygiene supplies such as disinfecting wipes, disinfecting soaps, gloves, face masks, hand sanitizer. Given the shortage of supplies, it is prohibitive for Redan to provide ample supplies to all of its clients all over the Southern California at an effective and practical manner. However, if under special circumstances, you are unable to provide such items on your own, please let us know and we will do our best to supply them to you (additional cost may apply on the invoice per sale of the items).
  2.  Caregiver/Staff Supervision: We remind Team Redan almost on a daily basis to comply with all the instructions such as washing hands often, keeping distance when possible, wiping surfaces often, avoid face-to-face and close contacts when possible, among others. However, as individuals being present on the premises, Redan management would encourage its clients to also remind staff of taking all the precaution measures, and not be shy about giving them notice if they fail to stay fully compliant.
  3. Redan Management Visits on Hold:As part of the social distancing and minimizing any unnecessary contacts, Redan management is avoiding any in-person visit to Clients’ residence. However, management is available 24/7 at all times during the pandemic and emergency shutdown to answer your phone calls and emails. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any concerns.
  4. COVID-19 Testing: We recommend everybody, both staff and clients, to be tested for COVID-19 if feel sick or have any symptoms. State of California is adding increasing number of locations to perform COVID-19 testing, and making it free of cost for those feeling compelled to test themselves. However, given the limited resources, if you do not feel sick and do not have any symptoms, you are advised not to see doctor or get tested.
  5. COVID-19 Infection Control Webinar: There is a very instructive and helpful webinar, offered by leader in the infection control and public health industries, specifically for coping with highly contagious COVID-19, that is being presented to all of Redan staff to attend.
  6. COVID-19 Certification Class: Team Redan is presented with the opportunity to take a COVID-19 course, upon completion, they will be presented a Certification on COVID-19.

We would also like to reaffirm that as essential critical infrastructure workers, Team Redan continues to provide their service to you in these difficult times and under risk to their health. and they would be extremely happy to know their commitment and caring are being appreciated by all of us. Redan management is doing its best to further incentive Redan staff in these difficult times, yet any additional financial support by the clients would be greatly appreciated, to compensate for the services under severity fee.
